FIREBIRD Perform First-Ever Show In Continental Europe

Britain's FIREBIRD, led by former CARCASS/NAPALM DEATH guitarist Bill Steer, performed their first show in half a year and first time ever in continental Europe on June 15th at Transvision festival in Graz, Austria. According to bassist Roger Nilsson (THE QUILL/SPIRITUAL BEGGARS),"we had ourselves a quite nice little evening at the Transvision festival. The show went great except for the fact that Bill had to wrestle with some hi-tech German guitar-amp (everyone who ever met Bill know he's not a hi-tech kind of guy...haha). Both Bill and Jolle rocked and I tried to follow them the best I could...haha The morning after we also had a near-death experience when we actually woke up to the sound of accordion and someone yodeling. (Talk about entering the twilight zone) I thought stuff like that only happened in Sound of Music...haha Anyway, the set list for the show was (as I remember it, FIREBIRD never do set lists in advance everything is decided on stage):
